Breakout gives Tuscaloosa tense team-building experience

The door slams shut and the locks close down. Though this may sound like a scene from a horror movie, this is the draw of Tuscaloosa’s one and only room escape game, known as Breakout. Started in May 2015, Breakout is a room escape game where groups ranging from two to eight people are locked inside of a themed room and given one hour to find four-digit codes.


"The Producers" comes to Bean-Brown Theatre

Singing, dancing and laughter will commence Friday night at Theatre Tuscaloosa’s premiere of the musical “The Producers” at Bean-Brown Theatre at Shelton State Community College. “The Producers” is a musical comedy adaptation of Mel Brooks’s 1968 film of the same name.


Barnes and Noble hosts Harry Potter event

On Friday, Barnes and Noble hosted an activity-filled event as part of their book series to get Harry Potter fans excited about the new book, The Cursed Child (Parts One and Two). Barnes and Noble hosts events over the summer that bring in readers under a shared community, whether it's anime, DC comics or a popular book series. “Harry Potter is always a special thing,” Mary Wendt, Barnes and Noble’s merchandise manager, said.


Tuscaloosa Amphitheater hosts Fourth of July Celebration on the Riverwalk event

For years, Tuscaloosa has been home to various celebrations and events, but this July 4th will bring more activities to the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater's festivities in an event known as "Celebration on the River." Hosted in part by PARA, Tuscaloosa's park and recreation authority, Celebration on the River is an event focused on bringing fireworks and fun to the citizens of Tuscaloosa during the Fourth of July.
