Senate talks organization seating, FAC funding requests

Senate briefly met on Thursday to discuss two pieces of legislation. One was a bill that would place student organization seating into the SGA Code of Laws and the other was an act to approve Financial Affairs Committee funding requests for the month of March.

Bill 16, authored by graduate school Senator Rob Grady and Vice President for Student Affairs Dalton Beasley, was reintroduced after a constitutional amendment was passed by the student body that removed organization seating from the Constitution. Grady said placing the seating process in the Code of Laws will make it easier to make minor changes in the future.

The bill was passed after no debate.

Additionally, Senate passed Act 23, which approved $79,614 in FAC funding requests for the month of March.
