University of Alabama students studying marketing and sales will have their greatest opportunity thus far this semester to network with potential employers at Connect 2017 this upcoming Wednesday afternoon. The event, designed to help students grow their networking skills and meet with a vast number of company representatives, will feature appearances by organizations such as AT&T, Northwestern Mutual and Regions Bank.

WHO: Connect 2017 is hosted by The University of Alabama’s Sales Program and, while tailored for sales and marketing majors, is open to all students at the University.

WHAT: International companies from the technological, industrial, consumer goods and apparel industries will be gathering on campus for the sales and marketing career fair. Business casual clothing is recommended, with guidelines for dress available in the Connect 2017 student success guide that can be found on the official UA Sales Program website. 

Resume suggestions and networking skill tips can also be located in the success guide, alongside a complete list of companies that students can expect to meet with at the event.

WHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 22 from Noon–3 p.m.

WHERE: Ferguson Center Ballroom

WHY: “There will be over 50 companies including Pepsi, Target, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, and The Commercial Appeal, among others, hiring for full-time and internship positions from many different industries and geographic locations,” said Nika Longo, brand manager for the Sales Program.
