Volunteers will have a chance to participate in a variety of fields, including event planning, marketing, graphic design, publicity, fundraising, film programming, advertising and
film production.

“People can get involved with the festival without having any prior experience and learn a lot,” said Katie Howard, a senior majoring in public relations and president of the festival.

Howard said the festival is for people who love film and the community arts.

Black Warrior Film Festival started in 2013 and has grown to include colleges all over the country, each showcasing their films in the festival.

“Being a TCF major, I need experience in the field before graduating,” said Parker Hartselle, a senior majoring in telecommunication and film. “Working for the festival seems like the perfect way to get the experience I need.”
