Latitudes and Longitudes showcases local artists

This week is the last chance to see Latitudes and Longitudes, the Tuscaloosa and University Painters’ exhibition being featured at the University of Alabama gallery in the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center located downtown.

On pointe: Annual dance concert to return to UA on Tuesday

After months of twice-weekly rehearsals lasting up to three hours each, students in the University’s department of theatre and dance will take the stage this week to perform pieces choreographed by the faculty members they’ve worked closely with throughout their University careers.

Exhibit displays tech art pieces

Students have combined science with art to make an exhibit combining technical aspects with artistic features. [ENTER]Connect, an exhibition hosted by UA Makerspace, is being held at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center. It kicked off on Nov. 7 and will conclude on Nov. 26.

Sky Shineman's 'Seismic Shift' exhibit to show downtown

UA professor Sky Shineman will showcase her artwork in the exhibit “Seismic Shift,” hosted by the Arts Council of Tuscaloosa at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center. The exhibit will be open Friday through Nov. 26.

Renwei Huang quit her job in Taiwan and came to the University of Alabama to get an experience studying abroad, but Huang said she wants more than that – Hueng wants to break the cultural barrier and improve her English in the ELI program at the University.
