State of the Black Union aims to induce diverse discussion

Senate passes resolution supporting DACA recipients on campus

After the senators reconvened from their respective committees, Senator Marissa Navarro’s Resolution R-17 to support the continuation of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and its beneficiaries, the "DACA-mented" students on campus, went under discussion.

SGA president arrested for DUI

Hunter, a senior majoring in political science and economics, performed “poorly” on a field sobriety test administered by officers and was then moved to Tuscaloosa County Jail where they measured his BAC at 0.16 percent, twice the legal limit.

January special election to fill SGA vacancies

With the start of the new semester comes a special election to fill two senate seats for the Arts and Sciences College in the UA SGA. The vacancies, previously held by Mason Johnston and Maxwell Martin, will be filled for the remainder of the elected offices terms.
