Volleyball prepares to open SEC play with two ranked opponents

The Alabama Crimson Tide volleyball team is 11-2 after the non-conference portion of its schedule. Though coach Ed Allen may not be entirely pleased with his team’s performance to date, It's still a very strong record to hold, and an improvement over the 5-8 record the team had prior to its SEC opener last season. The Crimson Tide will take that combination of a good record and unsteady play into the toughest two-match stretch of the season so far, as No. 19 Texas A&M and No. 6 Florida come to town this weekend. “I see an opportunity to play some of the best volleyball that we’ve played all year, because we’ll need to do that if we want to be competitive,” Allen said.
