University restricts media access to rush

A festive environment has descended on Sorority Row at The University of Alabama, as thousands of girls continue to participate in the largest formal recruitment in history. But outside of the ice water teas, skits and parties on Colonial and Magnolia Drives, there is a kind of silence.


UA grad wins Miss Alabama

Third time was the charm Saturday for Caitlin Brunell, University of Alabama graduate. On her third trip to the Miss Alabama Pageant, which took place June 4-7 at Samford University, Brunell was crowned Miss Alabama 2014.“The experience overall for me this week was really different,” Brunell said.


SGA leaders outdo state government

The University of Alabama Student Government Association was founded in 1914 with “the supreme purpose of …(training) young men and women in higher principles of citizenship.” In this effort, the SGA has been successful.
