Alabama records its sixth shutout of the season

Alabama’s softball team collected its sixth shutout of the season on Tuesday, defeating UAB 4-0 at Mary Bowers Field. Courtney Gettins and Alexis Osorio combined to shut the Blazers out and allowed only four hits. The two combined for seven strikeouts and did not walk a batter. 

Softball wins three games during Easton Bama Bash

Alabama’s softball team got its home season started on the right foot, winning three of its four games in Easton Bama Bash. The game on Sunday being canceled due to inclement weather. “I want to say thanks to the fans for the great turnout,” said coach Patrick Murphy. "They have been incredible the past two days.”

Softball improves to 6-0 after defeating Mississippi Valley and McNeese State

The Alabama softball team has continued its hot start to the season, improving to 6-0 with a pair of wins on Saturday at the Black and Gold Invitational. Alabama’s offense scored 11 runs in both games, defeating McNeese, 11-1, and Mississippi Valley State, 11-0. The shutout of Mississippi Valley State was the fourth shutout of the young season for the Crimson Tide. Alabama’s pitching has limited its opponents to just two runs so far in the six games, while the Alabama offense has scored 10 or more runs in every game, except the opener.
