Things got heated from the field to the sideline in the final game at the Alabama Soccer Complex this season as the Alabama Crimson Tide fell to the Mississippi State Bulldogs 2-1. With a final spot in the SEC Tournament on the line, both teams fought to stay in tournament contention. “I’m extremely proud of our girls in this game; this is probably our best game we’ve played in the last month or so,” coach Wes Hart said.

After a win on the road against the Georgia Bulldogs in the team's last outing, the Alabama Crimson Tide soccer team lost a tough one at home in overtime to the Missouri Tigers 2-1. Despite tying the game at the end of the second half, the Crimson Tide lost on an early goal in overtime to lose its 10th game of the season. “I told them I was disappointed for them, but not disappointed in them,” Coach Wes Hart said.

Six soccer players return home when Alabama travels to Athens

Two weeks ago, the Alabama football team traveled to Athens, Georgia, to defeat the Georgia Bulldogs 38-10 to regain momentum after a tough loss to Ole Miss. After losing their last five matches, coach Wes Hart and the Crimson Tide soccer team need to regain the same momentum as they head to Athens this Friday to face the Bulldogs in order to keep their SEC Tournament hopes alive. “We need to get a result from this game to get our teams confidence up for the last couple games of the season,” senior defender Abby Lutzenkirchen said. The state of Georgia is a familiar territory for some of the players on the Crimson Tide roster.

Soccer falls to Tennessee at home

After a 4-0 loss in College Station to the Texas A&M Aggies on Friday night, the Alabama soccer team returned home and dropped another game at home to the Tennessee Volunteers 3-1. “We are playing better teams,” coach Wes Hart said.

Soccer loses fourth straight game

Coach Wes Hart and the Crimson Tide soccer team continued to struggle on the road, losing on Friday night in College Station to Texas A&M 4-0, dropping The team droped its fourth straight game and fifth straight game in the SEC. The Aggies took a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute in the first half with a shot from 12 yards out on to the far post by Ally Watt.

After a chilly and windy night in Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl of soccer, the Alabama Crimson Tide fell to the Auburn Tigers in double overtime 2-1. Going into halftime down 1-0, The Crimson Tide rallied back in the second half to even the score, but the Tigers regained the lead in the second overtime to get their 11th win of the season and defeat the Crimson Tide for the fourth-straight win in the all-time series. “Rivalry or not, that would be the effort, energy, and competitive spirit that I would want our girls to bring every game,” coach Wes Hart said. Sophomore goalkeeper Kat Stratton made her second start and fourth appearance of the season, replacing senior Emily Rusk.
