ROTC talks wins, losses, prepares for competitions

Combining values of the Capstone Creed and the U.S. Army, members of the University of Alabama Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) are consistently striving for excellence. They have achieved high scores in the classroom, and now they look to do the same at their competitions.  


Bill Battle speaks on ethics at business lecture

On Monday night, Athletic Director Bill Battle spoke to a crowded room on the value of ethics to The University of Alabama and to our world. “I define ethics as doing the right thing the right way,” Battle said. “Combining ethics, character and leadership makes up our personal value system.” Battle was the keynote speaker for the annual J. Craig Smith Business Lecture, sponsored by the J. Craig Smith Endowed Chair of Business Integrity, Academic Honor Council and Culverhouse College of Commerce.


UA graduate donates $1.5 million

The Culverhouse School of Accountancy, recently ranked eighth in the nation by the 33rd Annual Survey in “Public Accounting Report," continues to make news this fall as alumnus Gary Fayard announced a $1.5 million gift to create the Fayard Endowed Chair in Accounting. 


Partnership formed between UA, Lockheed Martin

The University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Commerce officially announced its partnership to create a new data analytics lab with Lockheed Martin on Monday in Alston Hall. The analytics lab will be the first of its kind and enhance the analytics program the college currently has in place.
