On the morning of May 29, military veterans, active-duty service members and their families gathered near the Tuscaloosa Veterans Memorial Park in recognition of Memorial Day. The gathering consisted of guest speakers and a gun volley salute by the Tuscaloosa County American Legion Honor Guard followed by the playing of "Taps."
