The Queen has returned: Adele makes come back after four year breakBy Katie Goodwin | 11/03/2015 11:41pm
Four years later we are all still singing “Rolling In The Deep” at the top of our lungs. The Queen of music has now returned and is already reclaiming the top of the charts. Just last week the British sensation, Adele, released her new song “Hello” that almost immediately claimed the number one spot on iTunes.
As if dropping a new song was not enough, Adele also released the music video for the heartbreak tune, the video received a record breaking 27.7 million views in 24 hours. This knocked Taylor Swift off the Vevo thrown with her video “Bad Blood” that only got 20.1 million. Adele also announced her new album, “25”, which is now available for pre order.
In 2012, Adele dominated the Grammy awards by racking up six awards including the coveted album of the award. The “Skyfall” singer took a five year break to record her album and during her leave, she gave birth to a baby boy in October of 2012. Now the Queen has returned, and her album is already No. 1 on iTunes along with having the No. 1 song with her single, “Hello”.
Adele had to cancel US and UK tour dates back in 2011 due to having to undergo throat surgery so there is strong possibility of not touring for this album.
Adele told Rolling Stone, “If my throat goes, then I’ll never be able to do a tour again. I’ll be able to get my throat fixed again and do studio work, but do I want to do some-thing and then fail at it and be too scared to ever try it again?”
Whether she tours or not, this album is without a doubt one the most highly anticipated albums of the year, since it’s announcement it has remained at number one. Adele’s comeback is long awaited and much more inspiring than the current comeback of Justin Bieber, it would be unfair to even compare the two artist. Adele’s songs are instrumentally and vocally complexed, her lyrics are deep and tell stories in a way that captures hearts.
Adele’s new album includes eleven tracks, the titles of a few of the songs are: “When We Were Young”, “Remedy” , “I Miss You”, and “All I ask”. Just by reading the track you can tell what an amazing album Adele has put together. “25” will be released and playing on everybody’s iPods on November 20th and is currently available for pre order.
Welcome back Adele, the world has missed you!
