The Alabama women’s 4x100-meter relay team posted an All-American finish at the 2018 NCAA Track and Field Championships on Saturday.

On a rain-soaked day in Eugene, Oregon, a Crimson Tide relay team comprised of freshmen Daija Lampkin, Tamara Clark, Demi Washington and sophomore Symone Darius placed sixth with a time of 44.05 seconds.

“I was very proud of the way the 4x100 ran today,” Alabama coach Dan Waters said. “We ran three freshmen and a sophomore so that just speaks highly of where we’re going to be in the future. I think that’s one of the things we learned this week with our women’s team.

The All-American finish was a fitting end for a 4x100 team that recorded six of the fastest times in school history on the event over the course of the season.

The Alabama women’s track and field team boasted competitors in the triple jump and discus as well. Junior Portious Warren finished 19th in the discus while freshman Jaimie Robinson and junior Tamara Moncrieffe placed 20th and 23rd in the triple jump.
