Workshop to help students readjust academically

Workshop to help students readjust academically

WHAT: “Starting All Over Again” workshop

WHO: The event is free for students

WHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 7,  6-7 p.m.

WHERE: 355 Russell Hall

WHY:

For some students, the fall semester was an overwhelming experience. The Center for Academic Success will be hosting a workshop for students who want to get back on track with their academics for the spring semester.

“It’s supposed to be a motivational workshop to help students recover from last semester," said Hailah Saeed, learning resource specialist for the Center of Academic Success and organizer of the event. "Sometimes students undermine the effect of getting adjusted here, socially or culturally and how this could affect their academic performance or their motivation. If you lose your sense of motivation, it will be difficult to perform well academically.”

Students who want to try to do better than they did last semester can come to this event to continue the spring semester on a more positive note.
