What: Work-Life and Wellness Expo. 

This event will provide employees with tools and resources to help them develop a healthy work-life balance.

Who: This event is free event to all University employees, spouses, and retirees.

When: Oct. 4, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. 

Where: Coleman Coliseum

Why: The Work Life and Wellness Expo focuses on balancing work and life outside of work. 

“It’s a great one stop shop so people can show up to events and learn about local resources all in one place,” said Erica Shumate, Work-Life and Wellness Expo coordinator. “The expo enhances the work-life theme, while tying multiple different aspects that people can use in their daily lives.” 

There will be free health screenings available, including flu shots, blood pressure, hearing tests, shingles vaccines, vision screenings, EKG / ECG, and comprehensive exams available for employees only. There will also be information about backs, disease management, employee benefits, financial wellness and lifestyle, pharmacies and more.

Work-life and wellness lasts all week, with other events focusing on topics such as time and stress mangement. For more information on the expo and about other events throughout the week, visit wlwx.ua.edu.
