As Week 5 of the NFL season concludes, Crimson Tide alumni again proved their worth to their respective teams and confirmed that Alabama is one of the preeminent producers of NFL talent in the modern game.

-Los Angeles Rams linebacker Mark Barron continued his recent stretch of strong play by making a career-high 12 tackles against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, according to Pro Football Reference. Barron has made the third-most tackles in the NFL over the last three weeks.

It should be noted that ESPN statistics indicated that Barron had 15 tackles, one short of his career high.

-D.J. Fluker, a First-Team All-American guard in 2012, received much more playing time on Sunday as he fights for a spot in the New York Giants’ starting lineup. The game was more significant for Fluker because it was against his former team, the Los Angeles Chargers, which released him in March. The Giants ran for 152 yards against the Chargers, far surpassing their previous season high of 91 rushing yards.

ESPN Giants reporter Jordan Raanan had this to say about Fluker’s play during the game:

-Fluker’s teammate, Giants All-Pro safety Landon Collins, made eight solo tackles against the Chargers, one short of his career high.

-Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley recorded six tackles in the Ravens’ 30-16 win over the Oakland Raiders.

-Green Bay Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Houston Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson each totaled five tackles, three of which were solo.

-On the injury front, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said he hopes and expects rookie linebacker Reuben Foster will return to practice on Wednesday, according to Chris Biderman of USA Today. Foster has been sidelined since Week 1 with a high ankle sprain.

-Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones is not expected to miss any games due to the hip flexor injury he sustained last week, via ESPN’s Vaughn McClure.
