Special assistant to Reagan to discuss North Korea and nuclear weapons

What: North Korea, Nukes and Nuts: Is Donald Trump or Kim Jong-un the more dangerous threat?

Doug Bandow, a senior fellow at the Cato Institute who previously served as a special assistant to President Ronald Reagan, will be speaking about the current situation regarding North Korea and nuclear weapons.

Who: Young Americans for Liberty has partnered with the John Quincy Adams Society to sponsor the event.

All students are welcome to attend and coffee will be provided. 

When: Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.

Where: ten Hoor Hall room 116.

Why: Mason Johnston, YAL’s secretary and a junior double majoring in political science and psychology, said Bandow is someone that students who are interested in foreign policy as well as members of the John Quincy Adams Society and YAL would be interested to hear speak.

“We thought [hearing Bandow] would be great especially since this talk is on such pertinent things that are going on right now with North Korea,” Johnston said.
