Three Tuscaloosa City Board of Education seats failed to have candidates receive a majority of votes earlier this month, and voting deadlines for the upcoming runoff elections are now quickly approaching. The runoff election for all three seats is set to take place on Tuesday, April 18.

According to the Tuscaloosa News, April 3 is the last day that unregistered voters can register and become eligible to vote in the election. For absentee voters, individuals must apply for a ballot by 5 p.m. on April 13. Those ballots must be postmarked or hand-delivered to the Tuscaloosa City Clerk’s office at City Hall by 5 p.m. on April 17.

The remaining candidates are:

District 1: Que Chandler and Matt Wilson

District 2: Earnestine Tucker and Kendra Williams

District 5: Beth Cleino Allaway and Erica Grant
