A suicide prevention training program that aims to help students recognize and respond to the warning signs of suicide is now available, according to UA News.

The program, Ask Listen Refer, is online at AskListenRefer.org/ua and takes around 15-20 minutes to complete.

“The purpose of this program is to encourage concerned persons to ASK if someone is thinking about suicide, LISTEN to their response carefully, and REFER them to a professional,” UA News said.

According to UA News, the program has been shown to increase the ability of students to identify and respond to those at risk for suicide.

Students interested in knowing more about the warning signs of suicide are encouraged to visit the Ask Listen Refer website.
