This Friday, Nov. 11 is Veteran’s Day, and in show of support to service members, Caring for Camo and the SGA are hosting an event to raise money to benefit veterans.
Who: Caring for Camo, an organization dedicated to supporting currently deployed troops through care packages and letters, has teamed up with SGA to show unified support for U.S. veterans. Everyone of all ages is welcome to attend.
What: An event which will raise money for the Honor Flight Initiative and Military Dependent Scholarships. These causes benefit veterans through care packages, letters and scholarships.
$5 wristbands will grant attendees admission, food and live music.
When: 1-5 p.m. on Veteran’s Day, Friday Nov. 11.
Where: The Bear Trap, a bar and grill located on the strip just off Campus Drive.
Why: “It unites the campus on a greater cause which is veteran and military affairs,” Said Miranda Cobb, President of Caring for Camo, “We have never where we have had such a large collaboration on an event, so it is great to see that.”
