Joss Whedon Shakespeare adaptation to be screened

What do the earth-shaking Marvel cinematic universe and the eloquent Shakespearian verse have in common? Both have been directed by Joss Whedon. He’s best known for rocking the movie world in 2012 with the first Marvel “Avengers,” movie, working with huge talents like Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Hemsworth in a fantastically arranged superhero blockbuster. In the same year however, Whedon had an altogether different work emerge. An adaptation of the popular Shakespeare play “Much Ado About Nothing,” starring Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof as the two lead roles, was also directed and adapted for the screen by Whedon. Quite a far stretch from flying thunder gods and an angry green man, it certainly seems as if the Hollywood hit-maker wanted to stretch his creative muscles.
