College of Human Environmental Sciences aims to bring families together with Lullaby Concert

WHAT: The Lullaby Concert

WHO: A myriad of performers and storytellers

WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 4, 5:15 – 6:15 p.m.

WHERE: Training Rooms A-C and Multipurpose Room, Child Development Research Center

WHY: This free event is sponsored by Child Development Resources and PNC Bank Foundation in order to bring families from all over the community together to enjoy entertainment. Families are encouraged to come and go as they please. Kristy Brown, training coordinator at Child Development Resources, said performers include Lee Johnson and Jil Chambless who will be playing guitar and singing, along with Jennifer Caputo and Elizabeth Hulsey playing gyil xylophones (from the county of Ghana). Steven Hobbs will be telling stories and Milla Boschung, the Dean of the College of Human Environmental Sciences, will read Goodnight Moon. There will also be a musical petting zoo in a different location in the building where children can try out different musical instruments.The Parent Resource Library (PRL) will have an open house and parents can come in to get info or check out kits to take home.

Attendees will also receive a free children’s book.
