WATCH: Avery Johnson, Shannon Hale and Arthur Edwards preview basketball at South Carolina

The University of Alabama basketball team travels to take on South Carolina today. Coach Avery Johnson, forward Shannon Hale and guard Arthur Edwards spoke to the media before the game.

NOTES:

  • Alabama spent the end of practice yesterday working on free throws. While Edwards and Hale made theirs, Retin Obasohan missed two in a row before making two, and center Jimmie Taylor missed four before making two.
  • Point guard Justin Coleman was wearing a boot. Avery Johnson said he was suffering from turf toe but should play today.
  • This game starts a stretch of road play that will see Alabama play four of its next six games away from home.
  • Alabama's RPI currently stands at no. 48, while its strength-of-schedule stands at no. 14
  • This is the sixth ranked opponent for Alabama this season. The Crimson Tide is 3-2 in those games.
