The Board of Trustees will consider approving two different scholarship funds at their meeting Friday, Nov. 6.
The meeting will take place at 8 a.m. in the Bryant Conference Center.
The first fund is a $480,000 gift from the Coca-Cola Foundation that would benefit the Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship.
The second vote is to approve the Dr. Robert E. Witt Interfraternity Council Scholarship of $20,000.
The Board will also vote to approve a resolution requesting nearly $250,000 in state funds for Capital Improvements for the entire University of Alabama system.
Auburn University is also gifting two Westphalian Warmblood gelding horses named Solitaire and Catanio to the University. According to the resolution penned by the Board, the gifts are meant to help support the needs of the Equestrian Program at the University. The horses could be used for training, jumping events, flatwork or traveling to shows.
In other action:
- The relocation of the transportation services building will move to stages III and I
- The Board will vote on Nterminating investments with several groups, as well as other investment actions
- Resolutions regarding the renovation or construction of houses for Kappa Kappa Gamma, Alpha Omicron Pi, Delta Zeta and Pi Beta Phi will go before the Board
