Jonathan Taylor is no longer a student at The University of Alabama and is not eligible for re-admission, UA spokesperson Deborah Lane said in a statement Thursday.
Taylor was dismissed from Alabama football Sunday following his arrest on Saturday on a charge of domestic violence, third-degree assault and a charge of domestic violence third-degree criminal mischief.
Tuscaloosa Police issued a release Wednesday stating Taylor’s accuser recanted her allegations of assault and that the 24-year-old woman had been arrested on a charge of filing a false report to law enforcement. She has not been identified. Tuscaloosa Police will review the charges at a later time, according to the release.
