Art Speaks to feature student films

In anticipation of the second annual Black Warrior Film Festival, Creative Campus has partnered with the Honors College Association to screen four student-made films through Art Speaks, Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Maxwell Hall.

“Art Speaks is dedicated to showcasing students’ talent and reflects the overall mission of the Black Warrior Film Festival: to provide an outlet for this art form and give students the opportunity to support one another,” said Connor Fox, a Creative Campus intern.

The Black Warrior Film Festival gives students a chance to showcase original films to a large audience. This year’s festival will take place April 11-13 in buildings across campus.

“The Honors College Assembly has been a great partner of the festival, and this event is just one example of the many collaborations between us,” Fox, a senior majoring in public relations, said.

The films shown for Art Speaks will include a documentary, narrative and two animated shorts. The event is free and open to the public.
